Butter Paneer Recipe / Butter Paneer: This dish prepared in Punjabi kitchen is very famous in India for many years. Apart from Indians, many foreigners also like to eat butter chicken, especially those who like the taste of Indian food. 

This dish is made in many ways. But this recipe of Butter Chicken has come straight out of the kitchen of Moti Mahal. You can easily follow this recipe of Butter Chicken. Marinate it overnight, the chicken is made with tomato puree, cream and spices. This recipe is a great recipe for dinner party.

Ingredients used in Butter Chicken: To make Butter Chicken, you have to marinate it first, for which you need roasted chicken, tomato puree, cream and spices. This dish is very much liked by non-veg eaters, it is often made in parties. If you want, you can try it at home also.

Ingredients for Butter Chicken

400 grams Raw Chicken
Marinate Ingredients: 
2 tsp red chilli powder 
2 tsp ginger and garlic paste 
2 tsp salt 2 tsp lemon juice 
1/2 tsp garam masala 
1 tsp kasoori methi 
2 tsp mustard oil 

For gravy :
2 tsp oil to taste 
Cubes of butter
3 gm clove
1 cinnamon stick chopped 
1 tsp mace 
7 cardamom 4 tomato1 tsp garlic

How to make Butter Chicken

To prepare the marination: 

1. Take small chicken pieces in a bowl and add salt, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste and lemon juice to it. Mix it well. 

2. Keep it in the fridge for 20 to 15 minutes. 

3. Now add salt to it. After this add salt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala, kasoori methi and mustard oil. Mix it well and keep it in the fridge again for an hour.

4. Roast the marinated chicken in the oven for 30 minutes. 

To prepare the gravy: 

1. Heat butter with 2 tsp oil in a pan. 

2. Add cloves, cinnamon stick, mace and Add cardamom. Fry it and add tomato, garlic and ginger to it. Mix it well and grind it well.

3. Put two cubes of butter in another pan, add ginger and garlic paste to it. 

4. Now add tomato puree to it. Now add red chili powder, kasoori methi, honey and roasted chicken pieces to it. Cook it on low flame. 

5. Add green chili, cardamom powder and cream to it and mix it well. 

6. Serve with cream on it.

Recipe Note: While serving the butter chicken, you can garnish it with cream and green chilies if you want.

For a vegetarian version of butter chicken, you can use paneer instead of chicken. You can prepare the paneer in the same way by marinating it for 5 to 6 hours in a tandoor.
